Beanbag Chairs- Kids (and many adults, too) love these! It’s the perfect chair for sprawling in while looking at books or playing with Little People or just daydreaming. There is now a wide assortment of prints and fabrics. One is sure to be perfect for your little guy.
Alarm Clock- An alarm clock is a necessity for any child's room.  Whether your son needs to wake up for school, sports, or just get into a good sleep routine, an alarm clock is the best way to do so.  Look for an alarm clock that allows for personalized settings such as snooze time, numerous alarm times, CD or radio input, and volume settings.  You won't have to worry about your deep sleeper not getting out of bed on time anymore with an alarm clock that is personalized to suit his wake up needs.

Storage Bins- Does your son have too much stuff and not enough room to store it?  If closets, dressers, and drawers are not enough for his things, try taking advantage of some storage bins.  Bins can be stored underneath beds, in closets, and hidden out of the way so that they don't add clutter, but help make the mess disappear.
Book Shelf- This is a win-win idea. Your little one will love having his books where each can be readily recognized. You will love having all those books in one place. And bookshelves are another great way to keep other items organized as well. Reserve a shelf for video games, toys, or movies and decrease clutter all over the house. Look for bookshelves that match the furniture in your son’s room and make sure it has enough shelves to store all of his reading material.

Lamps- An easy way to add ambiance and personalization to a bedroom, lamps are a great addition to any room. Not only does a lamp offer a practical purpose for reading and doing homework, it also sets the atmosphere for decorations. Lamps come in many designs and colors to match any themed room.
Cork Board- Often a child's main outlet for decoration are the things he posts on a cork board. Look for the constant change as new photos, important papers or awards are replaced or topped over with the latest and greatest accomplishments.

CD Player- Well, they're growing all right. And this new music they are listening to no longer talks about wheels on buses. Your child is developing an individual taste in music, and many become very passionate about certain artists at this age. Save yourself the grief of listening to the same song over and over by placing a CD player- or iPod docking station if that's your preference- in your child's room so that you can enjoy peace while they jam to the latest pop hit... again.
Bunk Bed- Two beds for the space of one? A great hideout and hours of fun for sleep overs? All of this in one set of bunk beds. Moms report that this classic is still as popular as they were when we were kids. Sometimes a good idea sticks around like that.

Bedside Table- Who doesn’t like having a bedside table?  It’s ideal for holding a cup of water should it be needed in the night, or for holding a box of tissues, or for holding that book that we want to look at just before we go to sleep and first thing when we wake up.  It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but it should be sturdy.
Wall Art- A growing child wants to express himself through his personal interests.  Your son has his own unique taste in music, art, video games and movies.  Artwork allows him to convey his interests in his own special way.  Displaying art in his room will add the personal touch and individuality that your son is looking for in his bedroom.
